User guide: Manage contacts
Learn how to view and manage your contacts in AUSTRAC Online.

Access the Manage Contacts section
To create, edit or deactivate contacts associated with your business:
- Select Administration in the left-hand menu.
- Select Manage Contacts.
The ‘Contacts’ tab lists all contacts associated with your business.
The ‘Primary Contacts’ tab lists the primary contact for each of the contact roles for your business.
The ‘Enrolment Contacts’ tab lists the contacts that were captured as part of the enrolment process of the business.
Contact roles such as the AML/CTF compliance officer, the industry contribution contact officer, and the details of the primary contact person, can only be updated using the ‘AUSTRAC Update Business Profile’ form.

Create a new contact
To create a new contact:
- Select Manage Contacts in the left-hand menu.
- Select the Create New Contact button at the top right of the page.
- Complete all required fields.
- Select the applicable contact role types.
- Select Save.
- Once saved, a contact record will be created and associated with the current business. A confirmation message will be displayed.
- You can then invite the contact to get a user account by selecting Invite new user.
You can send an invitation to an existing contact to get a user account at any time.
Edit an existing contact
In the ‘Contacts’ tab:
- Select the contact you want to edit using the pencil icon in the ‘Actions’ column.
- Complete all required fields.
- Select the applicable contact role types.
- Select Save.
Once saved, the contact record will be updated. You'll see a confirmation message.
Link a contact to a business
If you need to link the contact to any other businesses managed by the same admin:
- Select the Linked Businesses tab.
- Select the business/es you want to link.
- Select the applicable contact role types.
- Select Link x Selected Business.
- A message will display asking you to confirm your action.
- Select Link if you want to continue.
- Another message will display.
Unlink a contact from a business
To unlink a contact from your business:
- Select Manage Contacts and search for the contact.
- Select Edit.
- Select the Unlink icon next to the business you want to unlink from.
- A message will display asking you to confirm your action.
- Select Unlink if wish to continue.
- Another message will display.
