Bulk file upload for threshold transaction reporting and suspicious matter reporting

We provide multiple methods of submitting transaction reports. This includes single report entry and bulk file upload (XML). For file upload we provide schemas to generate XML files to submit transaction reports.

We have updated the files that reporting entities can use to bulk file upload threshold transaction reports (TTRs) and suspicious matter reports (SMRs) after 1 July 2026. The schemas and their associated specification documents provide the structure and format for schema‑based reporting.

Available documents

Threshold transaction report (TTR)

Suspicious matter report (SMR)

Access to existing TTR and SMR schemas remains available through current AUSTRAC Online. This option is only available to reporting entities who were enrolled with us on 30 March 2026.
