Enhancements to AUSTRAC Online

We are enhancing AUSTRAC Online to make it easier for you and your business to engage with us. We will be replacing AUSTRAC’s current online interface with a modern, user-friendly platform, enhancing our ability to process the high volumes and varied types of data reported daily by obligated businesses.

What is changing?

Starting November 2024, we will launch new enrolment and registration forms designed to streamline the user experience, featuring a more responsive interface for the entry of your business information.

All new and current reporting entities will have access to the updated enrolment and registration forms through AUSTRAC Online. Businesses will commonly use enrolment and registration forms to enrol, register, update their business details, deregister and un-enrol with AUSTRAC.

Keeping you informed

AUSTRAC will be holding information sessions to demonstrate the new forms, and will keep you informed of any actions you need to take. Our early information webinars will commence mid-October 2024, with drop-in sessions kicking-off post release in early November.

To help businesses use the new forms, guidance and support will be made available from within the AUSTRAC Online platform and on our website.

How to have your say

In October, we will be conducting a survey of reporting entities that have recently completed an enrolment and registration form in AUSTRAC Online. The survey will be shared with you via email and will help us understand your current experience of AUSTRAC Online forms. We encourage you to complete the survey as your feedback offers invaluable insights that will guide future improvements.

Next year, we will be looking at ways we can further uplift the AUSTARC Online Portal. Look out for your invitation to join our focus groups session in early 2025 to help shape our online portal enhancements.

Reminder to transition your IFTI-E reporting to the new IFTI-E v2.0 schema

We delivered a new IFTI-E reporting schema using the ISO 20022 format in 2022. Since then, many reporting entities have transitioned to this new schema.

If you have not yet transitioned to the new schema but are planning to do so, it’s important that you complete testing in the AUSTRAC Online training environment. Once this is complete, you can contact us via haveyoursay@austrac.gov.au to schedule a test file assessment. Upon successful completion, you will be provided access to submit live reports using the new functionality. Please note the timeframes for the assessment process can vary depending on the number of reporting entities seeking to undertake testing over a particular period.

If you do not already have access to the IFTI-E reporting function in AUSTRAC Online training, please email the AUSTRAC Contact Centre.
