User guide: Manage your users

Learn how to manage users in AUSTRAC Online. This includes adding a new user and editing an existing user profile.

Access the Manage Users section

To invite users, edit user roles or unlink users associated with your business: 

  1. Select Administration in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select Manage Users.

How to add a new user

As an administrator, you can:

  • send an invitation to an existing contact associated with the business
  • invite a new user for a given email address.

To do this:

  1. Select Invite New User at the top right of the page.

  2. Select the roles and access permissions your user needs.

  2. Select Create and send invitation.

If you have access to more than one business account, you can select the businesses you want to invite the user to. You can also nominate user roles in the user invitation.

Edit an existing user profile

To edit an existing user profile:

  1. Go to Manage Users. A list of users will appear.
  2. Select the user you wish to edit by selecting Edit under the 'Actions' column.

  1. Select the drop-down Select user roles to expand it.
  2. Change the roles and access permissions your user needs.
  3. Select Save.

  1. To unlink the user from the currently linked business, select Unlink next to the business name.
  2. To unlink the user from multiple linked businesses, tick the box next to each of the business names you want to unlink.
  3. Select Unlink (x) selected business.

  1. A message will display asking you to confirm your action.
  2. Select Unlink if wish to continue.

You cannot deactivate the user, but you can unlink them from businesses. This will remove their access. To link a user back to a business account, you need to send an invitation to the user, selecting the required businesses.

Manage invitations

To manage user invitations: 

  1. Select Administration in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select Manage Users.

You can then invite new users by selecting Invite New User on the top right corner of the page.

The administrator can send an invitation to an email address of a potential new user or existing contact, if they need access to AUSTRAC Online. When they accept the invitation, the new user will gain access to those businesses in the invitation with the nominated roles.

You can either: 

  • Select Reinvite or Cancel if the invitation is still Pending.
  • Select Reinvite if the invitation was rejected or expired.
