Your voice: shaping the future of reporting with AUSTRAC

This year, collaboration has been at the heart of our digital transformation. Your feedback during co-design sessions confirmed what matters most: clarity, collaboration and digital services that keep pace with change. These insights have shaped the system improvements we’ve made, ensuring our solutions work for you.

AUSTRAC Online: a new era

Your active involvement has already driven delivery of a major milestone, the launch of the modernised AUSTRAC Online (AO).

Designed with your input, we focused on where we could make the biggest difference:

  • security updates – we’ve implemented improved and more flexible security options
  • easier navigation – the system now features a more intuitive and user-friendly layout
  • streamlined tasks – you now have more self-service options and clearer instructions to help you manage new features
  • device flexibility – the experience is consistent whether you are on a desktop or mobile device.

If you haven’t yet activated the new security measures, visit Manage Your Account for step-by-step instructions.

Building a smarter, more secure reporting future

Beyond the new AO and security upgrades, we’ve advanced critical initiatives to transaction reporting in preparation for the new Rules.

We recently consulted with you to gain deeper understanding of how the schema changes under the new Rules for threshold transaction reports (TTRs) and suspicious matter reports (SMRs) will be used and where refinements will provide effective and relevant solutions for your businesses.

These insights are guiding the final schema development to make your SMR and TTR reporting more efficient.

We’ll share further updates with you soon.

Looking ahead together

Next year will bring new opportunities for collaboration, including usability, user acceptance testing and training development for the new AML/CTF Act and Rules.

The success of these changes that impact enrolment, registration and transaction reporting rely on you continuing to share your perspective.

We invite you to participate in activities starting in the new year.

This is part of our commitment to build digital services that meet your needs while providing a robust, user-focused regulatory system.
