AUSTRAC welcomes the recent announcement by the Attorney-General of Mr Brendan Thomas as the new AUSTRAC Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Thomas has significant experience in leading, designing and delivering major public services, especially in the criminal and civil justice systems in NSW, and in leading organisational reform. Mr Thomas will commence his 5-year, full-time appointment on 29 January 2024.

We look forward to AUSTRAC’s continued successes under the stewardship of Mr Thomas over the coming years.
