Changes to our website are coming
We’re updating our website from 30 March 2026 as a part of a staged uplift to support the implementation of the AML/CTF reforms. This aligns with the commencement of new reform obligations for existing reporting entities and the opening of enrolment and registration for tranche 2 entities.
These website updates aim to improve your overall experience by making information easier to find, navigation clearer and support easier to access as reforms progress.
What’s changing
From 30 March, you’ll notice several improvements to our website, including:
- a refreshed look and feel to improve readability and usability
- a clearer menu structure, including improved pathways for users new to AUSTRAC, a more intuitive industry and business section and clearer separation of content areas
- improved search and filtering functionality to help you locate content more quickly
- an enhanced Contact Centre and support section to support self-service and access to help.
Below is a preview of the updated homepage and navigated structure.
What this means for you
These changes will make it easier to find the guidance and support you need, whether you’re new to AUSTRAC or an existing reporting entity navigating reform changes.
If you are a current reporting entity you will notice:
- clearer signposting of changes and key dates
- improved access to information about your obligations and AML/CTF programs
- regulatory expectations and guidance that are easier to locate.
If you are a new ‘tranche 2’ entity you will notice:
- a more guided, onboarding-focused experience
- clearer steps to confirm whether you are regulated and identify your industry
- step-by-step pathways to enrolment and understanding your obligations.
Bookmarks and saved links
If you use bookmarked links or saved favourites, you may need to update them after the changes go live, as some existing links may no longer work.
Our new menu structure and improved search functionality will help you quickly locate content in its new location.
What’s next
The website improvements will continue beyond 30 March, with further updates made over time to support the staged implementation of the AML/CTF reforms. We’ll continue to share updates as changes are rolled out.
