Agency request to access AUSTRAC information

Under changes to the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF Act) that came into effect on 17 June 2021, Commonwealth, State and Territory agencies may request access to AUSTRAC information.

If AUSTRAC supports the agency’s request, AUSTRAC will authorise specified officials in the agency to access AUSTRAC information. The agency will also be required to enter into a memorandum of understanding with AUSTRAC to ensure that relevant security and information protections are in place.

If your agency already had access to AUSTRAC information prior to these changes, your access will continue and you don’t need to submit this form.

How to request access to AUSTRAC information

To request access to AUSTRAC information, complete the form below.

You may also need to include attachments as part of the application, which are included with the form. State and Territory agencies must complete the privacy undertaking.
