In this module we will examine the requirements for Part B of your AML/CTF program, and consider processes and practices to meet this obligation. Part B requires reporting entities to implement applicable customer identification procedures.


Customer identification procedures include:

  • collection of documentation-based and electronic-based information from the customer
  • authentication, determining whether and in what circumstances an entity will take steps to determine if information provided has been forged, tampered with, altered or stolen.
