Summary: AUSTRAC’s compliance report 2018 is due from 2 January to 31 March. This video provides some key highlights, tips and advice about completing the new report.
Your annual compliance report helps AUSTRAC to protect the Australian community from money laundering and terrorism financing.
The report asks questions about how businesses have met their anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations. It will help us identify industry sectors and businesses with higher risks of money laundering and terrorism financing. Your responses will help us to improve our guidance and assistance to you.
Your compliance report needs to be completed by the end of March, and covers the previous calendar year.
To complete your report go to AUSTRAC Online via the AUSTRAC website. Select Compliance Reports under the My Business menu and click on the Open Button.
The compliance report contains hints to help you complete it. Simply click on the question mark icon for help or the underlined words which will take you to more information in AUSTRAC’s compliance guide.
It is important your compliance report responses are true and correct.
Please make sure your business details in AUSTRAC Online are up-to-date. This will help us give you the most relevant questions and ensure your responses are properly evaluated.
