Bribing a foreign public official

It is a criminal offence to bribe a foreign public official, whether in Australia or in another country.

An Australian in another country who bribes or attempts to bribe an official of that country can be prosecuted in an Australian court. For more information please visit the Bribery of foreign public officials page of the Attorney-General's Department website.
